Autumn, our favorite season, has arrived. That wonderful period after the family days of summer and before the holidays. Autumn is when we enjoy and celebrate our friends.

Speaking of favorites, our Wine & Dine Series will return on a limited basis, featuring the Rioja wines of Bodegas Franco-Españolas on October 5th.  This dinner should be exceptional, as Bodegas is a historic Logroños estate (extolled by Hemingway in Death in the Afternoon) which this year is celebrating its 125th anniversary.

Executive Chef Lucas Sousa’s cuisine is hitting on all cylinders at the moment. Breakfast, lunch, but especially at dinner!

How many movies have been made about ups and downs of Thanksgiving Day? Why not ease your life and leave the cooking to us! On Thursday, November 26th, join us at Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro. Celebrate with your friends and family in our dining room. From 1:00PM to 10:00PM, we will be serving a multi-course holiday feast with choices to satisfy everyone in your party. Beercation Returns!

Our popular “Beercation” will return in early December! You will start your Beercation by checking into your one night stay in a luxurious queen guest room with sweeping views of the charming Charles Street as you enjoy two Harpoon beers. After settling in, we will arrange a tour of the brewery located on the waterfront in Boston’s Seaport District. The tour will take you through the process of brewing and canning Harpoon and eventually lead to a tasting of freshly brewed Harpoon and UFO beers. Following the tour and tasting, you will return to the hotel where we will treat you to a three course meal for two. Each course will be paired with a different beer on our menu. The following morning we will treat you to a complimentary breakfast at the Bistro before checking out.

On Monday, November 2nd, 2015 take a tour of Oregon’s Willamette Valley during a four-course wine dinner featuring the culinary stylings of Executive Chef Lucas Sousa perfectly paired with four wines from Cooper Mountain and Adelsheim Vineyards. Beginning at 7:00PM, Cecilia Rait, proprietress and wine director of BHHB, and Barbara Gross whose father founded Cooper Mountain Vineyard, will guide diners through the history, curiosities and nuances of each selection.

Fall Flavors

This autumn, the Bistro is celebrating the tastes and flavors of classic, cool New England with Executive Chef Lucas Sousa’s brand new fall menu. To start, try our seasonal Maple Brooks farm burrata with lacinato kale, Granny Smith apple, spiced walnuts, pickled mustard seeds and apple cider vinaigrette. For entrees, how about our spiced duck breast? Chef Sousa brines the duck for an entire day in a spiced honey brine, served alongside local fall vegetables and local cranberry beans braised in stout beer, herbs and brown sugar. Emphasizing the wide array of fresh ingredients coming straight from our local farms and fishermen, these delicious dishes do for the palate what they do for the imagination. Each year Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro is honored to be a part of the Men of Boston Cook for Women’s Health event, an annual fundraiser to support women’s health programs. On Thursday, October 1st, 2015 we will join an exceptional line up of restaurants all paired with celebrity chefs cooking for a great cause! Since 1995, Men of Boston Cook for Women’s Health has raised crucial funds to combat women’s health disparities in issues such as breast cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and HIV/AIDS.
