Valentine’s Day Dinner

Choosing the perfect location for Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be a daunting task. Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro, nestled atop the gaslit red brick sidewalks of romantic Beacon Hill, is the perfect place to enjoy a romantic evening. Share a cocktail in front of the fire in the Bistro’s charming bar area. Then indulge in the special $68 per person (beverages not included) prix fixe dinner presented by Executive Chef Lucas Sousa. The Valentine’s Day menu will be offered exclusively on Saturday, February 14th, 2015, and will be available in addition to the regular menu on Friday, February 13th, 2015. Le Jour des Crêpes

On Monday, February 2nd, 2015 Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro will serve crepe specials in honor of Le Jour des Crêpes (also known as la Chandaleur), a French holiday honoring the end of the Christmas season. Guests can indulge in a variety of Executive Chef Lucas Sousa’s sweet and savory crepes during breakfast, lunch and dinner service with selections such as Roasted Mushroom, Gruyère and Rosemary, Braised Chicken, Béchamel and Escarole, as well as Citrus Crème Pâtissière, Grand Marnier and Caramel.

While celebrated differently in many cultures, la Chandaleur always takes place 40 days after Christmas on February 2nd. In France it’s tradition to eat crepes after 8PM, and it is said that if a cook holds a coin in one hand and successfully tosses a crepe with a frying pan in the other, the household will be prosperous throughout the year. Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro invites guests to celebrate the end of the holiday season and spring ahead with a sweet or savory traditional treat. On Wednesday, February 11th, 2015, join us for a culinary wine tour South of the Equator at Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro. Beginning at 7:00PM, guests will visit Australia, New Zealand, Chile and South Africa under the unparalleled guidance of our own Cecilia Rait and Tracy Burgis of M.S. Walker.  During this fun and educational dinner we will showcase four different wines as well as the culinary artistry of Executive Chef Lucas Sousa, whose dishes are designed to complement each featured wine. Fondue Sundays Return in January

Join us at Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro for Fondue Sundays featuring classic, French-style fondue! When the crisp winter air blankets New England and the ground is frozen and covered in snow, nothing warms a body faster than cozying up in the picturesque Bistro with a hearty pot of hot fondue.

Suitable to be shared as an appetizer or to be enjoyed as a main course ($26.00 per pot), guests will be treated to hot cheese fondue featuring the distinct tastes of Domaine Giachino Abymes from the Savoie, Bergkäse Alpenblumer, Emmentaler and Gruyére Vieux.

Served with rustic, hearty chunks of bread as well as small boiled potatoes and cornichons, guests will be wondering if they are in Beacon Hill or the Alps. Just in time to escape the elements in classic mountain style, Fondue Sundays will be served every Sunday beginning Sunday, January 4th, 2015 through the spring.  The special will be served during dinner service, 5:30PM to 10:00PM, in conjunction with BHHB’s regular menu. New Year’s Eve: A Modern Classic

Celebrate the New Year bistro-style. Guests will enjoy a delicious multi-course New Year’s Eve Dinner prepared by Executive Chef Lucas Sousa. Wine pairings are naturally available. Early birds can finish dinner and enjoy First Night live music performances while visiting the beautiful ice sculptures in Boston Common prior to the 7PM fireworks display–all just steps from the Bistro. Or guests can ring in the New Year by dining later in the evening, when the mood begins to levitate and the champagne starts flowing.
